Food Pantry Assistance
-
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul provides food to families residing in the greater Houston area. Families requesting food assistance for the first time are required to fill out a Houston Food Bank application. Upon approval of the application, a family may receive food once every 30 days for 12 months.
On each day of food distribution, we can serve up to 30 families. Food items may include:- Meat
- Bread & Bakery Items
- Various Canned Goods
- Peanut Butter
- Pasta, Dry Beans, & Rice

What Can We Help With
- Rent or mortgage payments
- Utilities (Electric, Water, & Gas only)
Eligibility Requirements for Financial Assistance
- The family must live in one of the following zip codes: 77493, 77494, 77449, 77450
- The family must complete a financial interview with SVDP at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church, Katy, TX and received a yellow referral form for SVDP, St. Bartholomew
3. All required documents must be paper copies (electronic copies are not accepted) including:
- Epiphany referral form
- Lease/mortgage documents
- Utility bills
4. Families requesting rent assistance must confirm with their landlord that assistance payments can be accepted by business check. Electronic payments are not available for rent or mortgage assistance.
5. Once you receive a referral, you may come on Tuesdays or Thursdays between 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM to receive financial assistance. *Limited. First come, First Serve

Volunteer
We are always happy to welcome volunteers. Volunteers play a vital role in keeping our Food Pantry running and allow us to serve our neighbors with care and compassion.

Food/Items Donations
The Houston Food Bank supplies many staple items, but community donations help us meet additional needs.
Your generosity allows us to provide items not supplied by the Houston Food Bank. * Donations may be dropped off at the Parish Office during Office Hours.

Monetary Donations
You can contribute financially by participating in the monthly Second Collection at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church or by giving online.
