FIRST RECONCILIATION
(children up to 17 years old)
Preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation takes place during 2nd grade catechism classes for children.
Children must be baptized before receiving Reconciliation. If the child was not baptized at St. Bartholomew, a baptismal certificate must be presented. The family must be registered parishioners, and the child must be enrolled in catechism classes for children and have completed the previous year with at least 80% attendance.
Parents are required to attend a mandatory Reconciliation meeting.
FIRST RECONCILIATION
(18 years and older)
Adults age 18 and older who need preparation for First Reconciliation should participate in OCIA or a similar adult sacramental preparation program.
