It is a great blessing for us to welcome our Archbishop. There are about 150 parishes in our Archdiocese, and he is making the effort to visit each one. Archbishop Vásquez, a native Texan, was appointed as Archbishop of Galveston-Houston earlier this year. He has served the Church faithfully for many years as pastor, auxiliary bishop, and diocesan bishop, and now shepherds our Archdiocese with joy and dedication.
